19th May 2013

Have a look at the 'small originals' page to see the latest Osprey cover painting depicting a Bf109E of JG3 painted for the forthcoming Aces of Jagdgeschwader 3 book.

11th May 2013

I've just split the originals page into two sections, 'Large Originals' and Small Originals'.   This has given me the chance to upload the new Dambusters originals and also an unusual one from nearly 20 years ago!

11th May 2013

For those in the UK, look out for tomorrow's Sunday Express which will carry a Dambusters pull-out section featuring a couple of my paintings and a competition to win a copy of The American Dambuster along with a piece of ED825, the Lancaster depicted in the painting.  All profits will go to the Bomber Command Memorial Fund.

5th May 2013

The new Dambuster painting 'Dambusters-Approaching the Eder is now uploaded to the prints section. You can also follow a 'work in progress' on this one in the 'Painting Demos' section.  The attack on the Eder Dam is the one main aspect of the raid that I had never painted so I was very pleased to have the chance to cover this subject whilst preparing new images for Alex Bateman's long overdue book project.

15th February 2013

I've just uploaded a 'new' original painting to the originals section, depicting Me109s of JG27.  This painting was for the cover of Osprey's Elite Units book on JG27 and has been in a private collection for many years. It is now back for sale following my re-acquisition of it a few months ago.  It's in perfect condition and a rare chance to get one of the Luftwaffe Elite Units originals, all of which sold very quickly on completion.

6th February 2013

I've just finished the latest cover art for Osprey, this one is for V-1 Flying Bomb Aces and depicts a Gloster Meteor of 616 Squadron about to tip the wing of a V-1 on 4th August 1944.  The original is now for sale, for more details, click here;

12th January 2013

I've just uploaded four new prints to the site.  Three are in the Elite Units series and the other is 'Surprise Attack' which depicts Hurricanes of 46 Squadron during the Narvik Campaign.  This is an older canvas that was commissioned by the Norwegian Armed Forces and was never seen in public until the recent publication of my new book.  Several people asked me about prints of it so we've decided to publish it as a giclee edition.  You can see all the prints by clicking on the 'prints' link to the left.

31st December 2012

We've just sold the new Heinkel 111 original so we will celebrate in style tonight.  We wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope to see all our friends and collectors in 2013.

30th December 2012

I've just uploaded this year's family album photos, mainly of the kids as usual as they're the ones who change the most, although I have to admit I'm ageing rapidly since I've been looking after Szymek solo!

22nd December 2012

Just uploaded the new small He111 original to the originals page where you'll also find the large original of the new Dambusters painting.  These large canvases rarely come up for sale as most are taken directly by my regular collectors.  As such, this one is not listed for sale directly via the website, it is available by offer and negotiation.  If you'd like to make an offer for it, please just get in touch, higher-res images of the canvas are available and all offers are considered!

28th October 2012

Back in Poland for half-term where we had a 22C sunny weekend last week and a 0C snowy weekend this week!
I'm about to start work on a major Dambusters book project which will see a few paintings appear over the next few months.  On Thursday 1st November I'll be travelling out to France to dig the crash site of ED886, Bill Townsend's Dambuster Lancaster.  We'll be filming the whole two days as part of a special DVD for the Dambuster book project, more details next month.

2nd October 2012

The latest copy of Britain at War magazine is now on the shelves in the UK with a feature length article on the Lysander painting.    I'm also delighted to say that we just sold the original painting.  We also sold the RLM Ju88G-1 original this week, so if you're thinking about investing in a painting for Christmas, don't hang around as originals usually sell well in the pre-Christmas period.

23rd September 2012

I've just had time to upload the final result of the Lysander painting I worked on at the RAF Museum during my Artist in Residency there.  Thanks again to all the children who helped me with it! Coming here soon will be two new Osprey cover originals, one depicting a Skyraider, the other a Finnish Fokker XXI.

18th August 2012

The books were delivered as expected on Tuesday and we've now despatched most of the advanced orders.  I'll probably work on the remarque orders next week in the hotel during my RAF Museum residency so if you'd like a remarqued copy order it soon and I'll try to get it completed next week.

2nd August 2012

Plans are moving ahead nicely now for the RAF Museum Artist in Residency and I've been able to add a page to this site now with more details.  The new War in the Air II book now looks as if it will be delivered earlier than expected on 14th August so we hope to get the early remarque orders out that week, before I start at Hendon.    The Heinkel 219 'Eagle Owl' print is going down very well I'm happy to say and the original has just sold to an Italian collector.

15th July 2012

I've just uploaded my latest print which will be print number 10 in the RLM Collection.  The Heinkel He219 is an aircraft I always wanted to paint again after my earlier 'Hunting Owls' print.  Thanks to Ron Ferguson for casting an expert eye over the final result, as photos and detailed references of the 219 are few and far between.
The print should be back from the printers on 20th July so all orders will be despatched from then.
The original painting may be for sale,  if you're interested please get in touch.

27th June 2012

It has been a very hectic month, hence the lack of updates, but I hope I can give full details of what's been going on in the June newsletter which should be ready in a few days.  In the meantime, I'm putting the final touches to my new book of paintings, War in the Air Volume II, which needs to go to press next week.  I'm making a quick appeal to anyone who owns original paintings of mine to get in touch and remind me which ones they have as I'd like to fully credit each painting used in the book with its owner.  I can remember some of course but others I have absolutely no idea!

18th May 2012

I've just uploaded details of a great new offer of a free book with every order of £95 and above from now until the end of June.  See the 'Free Lancaster book offer' link to the left for more details, or click here;

18th May 2012

This month's Britain at War magazine once again carries one of my paintings on the cover, this time one of my Osprey works featuring a Fiat CR-42.  The good thing about doing the covers for Osprey is that I get the chance to paint aircraft types that would never be commercially justified otherwise.

23rd April 2012

I've just finished uploading all 205 paintings that form the basis of my image library to Flickr.  This means that you can now browse through most of the paintings that I've completed in the last 10 years.  some of the earlier Osprey covers are missing as I didn't have a decent scanner to record them at the time but otherwise most are there.  We have high-res scans of all of them so if you're interested in licensing them for magazine or book use please just get in touch.

20th March 2012

Just received my latest copy of Britain at War magazine which features my RLM Collection Me109E painting on the cover.  This isn't the first time it has been used for a magazine cover, see the portfolio section for the Flypast version but it does look good, you can't beat a yellow nosed 109!  You can buy a copy of this print by finding it in the RLM Collection under the 'Series' tab.

13th March 2012
I had to suspend work on the 'never ending'  Stirling painting 2 weeks ago to travel to England, ironically to collect photos for my new book on the Stirling due out in June!  I'm now working on two smaller commissions and will then get back to finish the big one...
In the meantime, I've just uploaded two new originals to the site.  The Hellcat is one that was painted last year for a computer game but couldn't be unveiled until now.  The other is a recent P-38 cover art for Osprey.  Both can be seen in the originals section.

19th February 2012
I've just sold the new Me262 original.  I'm also delighted to announce that we've completed the uploading of our ww2images archive to Flickr where all 15,000 images can now be viewed by anyone.  The link is
www.flickr.com/photos/ww2images
This is a very exciting development for the library as we are currently linking it with other social media such as Facebook.

13th February 2012
I've just uploaded the January newsletter which includes the only painting completed that month, an Me262 cover art for Osprey.  This painting can now be found for sale in the Originals section.

17th January 2012
I finally managed to update the Family Album page at last so all pages are now operational!  We're flying to England for 10 days on Friday 20th so will be despatching the recently sold originals from there.  We'll probably run the sale for one more week so if you want to treat yourself, let me know soon.

28th December
Back in the office today, hope you all had a good Christmas!  I've just added a couple of high-res images in the portfolio section and have uploaded a banner ad onto the home page for our forthcoming Original Painting Sale which is advertised in January's Flypast.  We have so many options with the new website's technology that we thought we'd try out a sale, so on 1st January at 5pm GMT we'll be discounting every original by anything from 10% - 50%.   If you want any further information, just let me know.

20th December
Today I've added a lot of cover images to the portfolio section mainly from my work for Osprey Publishing.  It came as quite a surprise when I added them up to see that I've painted a total of 120 covers so far for them!

19th December
Finally found time to finish editing the Amiens Raid WIP video which you can now see in the Painting Demos section or on my Facebook page.

10th December
So with a frantically busy week in England followed by a hectic week finishing a painting finally over, I can now start to update the site again!  I've added some more originals today having checked in England which ones we still have. Tomorrow I'll be working on the Amiens Raid video work in progress which hopefully I should be able to put online early next week.
