Original Paintings CHRISTMAS SALE!

For all those collectors who prefer original paintings over prints, we are giving you a chance to treat yourself or have someone treat you for Christmas!  From now until 1st January 2018 all original paintings on this site have been reduced in price by as much as £1000.    We launched this at the weekend to the collectors on our mailing list and already four originals have sold, so don’t delay, there are some great bargains to be had!

Don’t forget that, all original prices are up to 50% lower anyway than if you purchased through a gallery or publisher.  Mark has always dealt directly with his collectors and will continue to do so to ensure that the public gets a fair price for his work.

CLICK HERE to view all the originals that are currently on sale.   Postage on all of them is FREE worldwide and there should be plenty of time to have them delivered before Christmas.

Two Bomber Command Originals Sold

Just catching up with admin after finally completing the new Hurricanes over Dunkirk painting, (more details shortly on that one)!  During this last few weeks we’ve sold both the Stirling and the big Dambusters – Courage and Sacrifice originals.    Next up will be a He177 for Osprey followed by hopefully a Polish Lancaster for the annual Christmas painting and then the third in the Dunkirk trilogy ‘Defiants over Dunkirk’, plus of course one or two private commissions which include a WWII RAF aircraft that I’ve always wanted to paint but never have!

New Dunkirk book

I’ve not been behind the easel much recently, partly because of a three week holiday in the UK but mainly because I’ve been working very hard on co-authoring a new book on the air-war over Dunkirk.   The final result has just been delivered and it looks great.  It’s a 192 page, colour throughout, account of RAF Fighter Command operations over the Dunkirk evacuation.  It really was a fascinating project to work on and has given me plenty of inspiration for new paintings, watch this space…

In the meantime, have a look at this quick video that I made to launch the book this week.  It’s now in stock and available to buy.  Click HERE for more information.

New 25th Anniversary Colour Brochure Now Available

Having spent 25 long and enjoyable years as a professional aviation artist, I thought it would be a nice idea to produce a large souvenir catalogue to include not just my latest prints but also most of the older ones that I’ve worked on since 1991.  It was quite a task, sourcing and scanning old transparencies, and then grouping them into some sort of sensible layout, but the final result has just been delivered, and they look great!   16 pages, A4, full colour throughout with various sections on RAF WWII, Dambusters, WWI, RAF Bomber Command etc.  In total there are around 120 prints featured ranging from the Fe2b to the F-16.

To receive a FREE copy of this brochure, simply place an order for any print or original via the website, we’ll be sending them out with each order as from today.

Original Painting page updated

Continuing with the ‘spring cleaning’ of the website, I’ve updated the Originals section, removing all the sold items and re-organising the remaining paintings.  They are now ordered in a more logical fashion for browsing.  I’ve also taken the opportunity to reduce the prices of some of the older paintings and put the three Japanese Osprey covers on ‘sale’ so do have a look through to see if anything takes your fancy!  Click on the painting for more details.

Condor Original Sold

Just a quick update to confirm that we have now sold the Fw200 original painting.  The prints will be published on 22nd April along with the third painting in my Battle of Britain trilogy depicting Me109s in combat with Spitfires.  More details in the next few days.

Research in Tromsø

Just back from a great week in Tromsø, gaining inspiration for more paintings of my favourite part of the world.  Whilst there we went chasing the Northern Lights and were rewarded with a spectacular display on the night of 2nd February.  The light-show lasted for over an hour and was quite awe inspiring, despite the -16C temperatures!
