Royal unveiling of new painting
30 Squadron reformation at Brize Norton
I was delighted to attend recently the reformation of 'my' squadron on 28 September 2021 at Brize Norton. 30 Squadron is reforming on the A400 Atlas and I was asked to paint the new aircraft by the Squadron Association to present to the Squadron on the day. The Princess Royal oversaw the reformation parade and also our small unveiling of the painting in the A400 hangar. As always, the Princess was a delight to talk to especially as my daughter Kasia was alongside me this time, joining in the conversation. We plan to make prints of the painting within the next few weeks.
