Dambusters - Approaching the Eder

This painting depicts the difficult approach to the Eder that was briefed to the crews, diving past Waldeck Castle before turning hard to port over the spit of land to line up with the Eder Dam seen here in the distance. This complex approach caused all sorts of problems for the Maudslay, Shannon and Knight crews resulting in Les Knight trying a successful approach from the opposite side, down the lake.
