New Dambuster Painting
A new small original Dambuster Painting
As part of the Dambuster Lancaster book project I painted this small painting of ED825 AJ-T with Johnny Johnson aboard departing late for the Dams Raid. The crew had to swap aircraft when their AJ-Q went unserviceable. The delay in transferring to the spare aircraft meant they took off half an hour behind the others as twilight turned to darkness on 16 May 1943.
