Spitfire Solstice

Stonehenge emerges from the mist, swathed in sunlight as Spitfire PR XIX PS853 flies overhead, winter 1945.

This painting was commissioned and printed in 2005. As part of the deal I received 100 prints which I put on the shelf and promptly forgot all about them! Having just rediscovered them, I'm posting them now on my website for the first time.

I'll be numbering them as Artist's Proofs 1-100 as I can't remember which numbers of the 600 edition I was allocated and I don't want to duplicate existing numbers.

Each print includes a printed colour remarque in the border of the subject Spitfire PS853. This aircraft is the very popular Rolls-Royce Spitfire which has been a common sight at airshows over the years.
